Moving into a new apartment is exciting, but there are a few important steps you'll need to complete before receiving your keys. To help make your move-in experience as smooth as possible, we've put together a handy guide of everything you'll need to have in place before your lease start date at Wrighthaven Square Apartments.

Sign Your Lease Agreement

Before move-in, all required lease documents must be electronically signed through the resident portal.

Be sure that all parties associated with the lease have completed their signatures, including:

• Leaseholders
• Additional occupants
• Guarantors or co-signers

Completing this early helps avoid any delays on move-in day and ensures your apartment is officially reserved and ready for you.

Set Up Your Dominion Energy Account

One of the most important items on your checklist is establishing electric service in your name.

Wrighthaven Square does not have gas appliances, so your electricity account should be active on or before your lease start date.

To do this:

1. Contact Dominion Energy at 1-888-667-3000.
2. Schedule service to begin on your move-in date.
3. Provide the leasing office with your Dominion account number once the account has been established.

We cannot stress this enough: please remember to send us your Dominion account number before move-in. This is a required step for your residency setup.

Choose Your Renter's Insurance Coverage

Renter's insurance is required prior to your lease start date.

When you sign your lease, you are automatically enrolled in Cover360 by Assurant, our community's renter's insurance program. This coverage satisfies the lease requirement and is conveniently billed with your monthly rent payment.

For residents participating in the community program:

• Current premium is $14.50 per month
• Premiums are billed with rent
• Prorated charges from move-in will be reflected with your first full month's billing

If you prefer to use your own renter's insurance policy, you must upload proof of coverage before your lease start date.

Your policy must include:

• $100,000 Personal Liability Coverage
• The leased apartment address listed as the insured location
• Your full name as the policyholder
• Insurance Tracking listed as an interested party

Policies that do not meet these requirements may be deemed non-compliant and could result in temporary enrollment in a liability-only policy until compliant coverage is provided.

Make Your Move-In Payment

Your total move-in balance will be outlined in your Welcome Letter.

Payments may be submitted through:

• Your resident portal using the "Make Payment" option
• Certified funds
• Check payments, where applicable

To ensure a smooth move-in process, we recommend completing your payment before arrival whenever possible.

Schedule Your Internet Service

Nobody wants to spend their first night in a new apartment without internet!

Wrighthaven Square homes are wired and ready for service through:

• Verizon Fios
• Comcast Xfinity

We encourage residents to contact their preferred provider ahead of time, as installation appointments can fill quickly, especially during peak moving seasons.

Water, Sewer, and Trash Services

Good news! There's no need to set up these utilities yourself.

The Wrighthaven Square team will handle the setup of:

• Water
• Sewer
• Trash services

These charges are billed through RealPage Utility Management (RUM) and will appear on your monthly utility statement.

Please note that there may be a short delay before your first utility bill is generated. If this occurs, the initial bill may include charges dating back to your move-in date to capture the full usage period.

Dog Owners: Complete Your PooPrints Registration

We love our furry residents! To help keep the community clean and enjoyable for everyone, all dogs must be registered through our PooPrints program.

The process is simple:

• Contact the leasing office within 7 days of moving in.
• Schedule a quick appointment.
• A team member will collect a DNA swab from your dog's mouth.

This program helps maintain our beautiful community and encourages responsible pet ownership.
